Lucknow Airport is medium size but usable area of arrivals and departure is small and feels congested. Hand full of food stalls are there. Worst experience was at premium plaza lounge. The staff is trained to not let people in. In front of us there were elderly couple whom they did not let in saying there is no space inside ignoring their request that they have to wait for 5 hrs. After waiting for more then 30 min my daughter got very impatient and had a melt down. Probably seeing this the lady felt bad and agreed to let us in. During the process of swiping my cards another staff kept telling her that sir is saying not to take anyone in, why are you taking new cards and more things to make us feel that they are doing some charity by letting us in. When we entered we were surprised to see that lounge is very small, it’s just one long room, with seating capacity of hardly 22 people on chairs and contrary to what staff was saying 8-10 chairs were empty, lounge was not full, I cannot understand why they were just refusing so many people to enter, is it to save food as it was lunch time? Or ome other reason. Lounge has a very small common washroom and no kitchen facility. They get the food from outside vendors which is pretty decent. However on orders also they try not to bring all items that you have ordered even after repeated reminders. After 2 hrs they start bugging you that your time is over and now you have to leave. Over all It’s kind of humiliating to use lounge facility. There was some advertisement of meet and greet facility given by adani group called abinandan I guess, which can be booked online, not sure if paid. I m staying in Hyderabad and using Hyderabad Airport facilities regularly I feel Adani group is just screwing up UP govt/ concerned authorities by making worst possible international airport in India.
