Chetna cinema hall is one of the cheapest and low category hall. Here most of the bengali and hindi version films were listed. Most of the time popular cinemas are not played to here, dont know why. But in holidays and weekends seats are full by local viewers who want to see movies without spending too much money. For local viewers it is also time saving as nearest. Parking facility is also available so it is a good option for low budget category cinema hall. The surroundings are quite populated and busy area. Food stall, atm, shopping mall, local shop, market, auto rikshaw all are available.
Ticket pricing is just rs. 30 and 25 for upper and lower seat. That is the main highlight. In other cinema hall and multiplex theaters tickets priced from rs. 200-250 onwards. In chetna cinema hall there are no soft fabriced seats, no air conditioner, only ceiling fan are mounted to walls. No dolby surround sound, no 3D effects, no that luxurious feeling, no clean and clear surface, no colour saturation etc. Toilets are not that usefull or good cleaned. Water connection is also not good. I dont think it will be drinkable. Building and gates are so muck older and maintanance is not good also. Security checking is not done properly. That may cause any public safety related issues. But no one cares. Authority or admin of this cinema hall must have to invest some money and maintan it properly. Otherwise it will be closed due to careless maintainance and facilities. There is only one screen that means it can only play one movie at a time. Still cinema hall is not that small. It is quite large for local people. If ticket rates will increase upto rs. 100 and proper security checking and proper maintanance will done with at least decent facilities and cleaning, it will run great. But now I dont think it will be possible because it loses its goodwill and reputation among dum dum area.
