After thorough test drives on Fiesta, Verna, City, Indigo, Fusion did I settle for the Aveo 1.4LS.
I bought her in March06 & have done over 26K, mostly in Mumbai, but shes done Goa & lots of Raigad ghats and beaches beyond apart from being the first car on Navi Mumbai and being the cynosure of all eyes for well over 2 months.
Why??Yeah, thats what this is being written about-
Looks-stylish for the times,
Space inside-WOW,
Upholstery-Beige, its in now,
Gear shift-Solid, though a bit tacky sometime,
Goggle holder-Its not there in any I saw,
CD 2 Din-Gr8,
Glove compartment-Holds a lot,
Dashboard-Chic, with the anti skid top,
Console-Very much like that of a Merc,
Speedometer-Impressive and convenient,
Side panels in doors-Handy,
Wheel-Sturdy and solid,
Windscreen-adaptable,
Wipers-decent and powerful,
Indicators-bright and sparky,
Horn-Not happy , it dies out when you have the steering turned >180 degrees,
Rear seats-Comfort personified, though some complain that they are just that degree too straight,
Boot-Huge and holds 3 large suitcases and 2 travel bags alongwith little knichknacks
Mileage-She tunes to 11-12 in city and over 14.5-15 on highways with the AC on
Maintenance-Apart from a couple of flats shes been never to the mechanics
Quality Servicing is a must for such cars and shes been getting that pretty regularly
Wifes comments-She gets the aircraft experience every once I take her off the blocks on the traffic lights-zzzzoooooommmmm
Daughters comments-Aveo is like her sister, so much like her in attitude, character, style, looks and all the above...
What more can u ask for !!! when you and your family are happy with the BUY...
