Hi All.for those who are planning to buy a Big yet compact car this is surely the car that you should go for. I bought the LS version of the car in May 2007. Let me start with whats on Offer. A. Its very spacious(easily seats 5 able bodied people including driver) good leg space both in front and back. B. it has good interiors with twin glove compartment C. it offers good mileage(12-13Kms/Litre) on Gurgaon roads(thats where I’ve driven it) with AC after 1st service. and 14kms on Higway. D. Extremely quite inside as well as outside E. Very comforatble seats. F. AC is very effective. G. Tilt Steering for short hight people.
Let me move to things that should be improved A. The Gear shift is not smooth at all, and needs a little effort while going from 3rd to 2nd and from 4th to 5th and then to reverse gear. B. Its been only 7 months and the car is already emmitting a fluttering sound somewhere from the dashboard that I am unable to identify Although the car has just gone through one service and that it might get corrected later. C. The Car is a little wider than I thought and therefore needs a little more care while driving in Narrow areas or else.BUMP! D. and yes the seating is low and therefore if you are a Tall Guy/Gal then getting in/out may be a little uncomfortable, but once in you can sink in the comfort of the sacious interiors. E. One more thing With the AC on when I try to race the car from 40 to 60 it seems that the car simply needs more power considering its size and weight as the pick up gets slow.
These days GM is also giving out MP3 Player with the car which is an additional benefit that I did not get.
As far as comparison goes I think only Hyundai Getz can be compared. Though I have not personally driven that car. Believe me rest all(Swift, Santro etc.) do not even come near though they may be very good in their own categories.
So all you guys who want to go for this Car .take my word its a great car over all just go for it.
