Look and Style: A fresh look compared to the other hatchbacks. The back doors take some getting used to, but are a welcome change. Comfort: Front seats are almost perfect. Back seats can be a little uncomfortable during long drives. If people over 5ft 10" sit at the back their knees poke the driver’s back. Lack of space at the back. But its negligible.
Pickup: Good pickup. The car goes from 0-80 in no time. In traffic conditions the pickup can be a little annoying.
Mileage: Best in class mileage. I’ve had my car since June 2012 and it has given a consistent mileage of 20 km/litre and sometimes more. As long as you don’t drive like a jerk, the mileage is like a dream.
Best Features: Music system is good. Mileage is the USP. Needs to improve: The servicing cost can hurt your wallet after 20, 000 kms. And chevrolet service centres try to take you for a ride while servicing your car. Spare parts aren’t easily available.
Overall Experience: Overall, the car is fantastic. I’ve driven mine over 30, 000kms in just a year and a half and I’m not having any problems(Touchwood!). The only drawback is Chevrolet’s service. They need to work on that. But if someone is looking for mileage and good drivability, there’s no need to look any further. The Beat surely gets a thumbs up!
