I already have couple of cars from Maruthi(Zen, Swift and a 800) I bought Spark car in the month of April 2011, with a promise of good mileage of atleast 17 on hight way and 15 in the city on AC and with a low maintenance cost. But after buying this I am really upset..as the Engine doesnt respond properly on highway roads. As in No pick up on AC specially. Within the city cant bare the car at all. The mileage is amazingly 9-10 in the city without AC and about 11.5 On highway without ac again..! God knows what could it be on AC.There are few good things about the car like the leg space, boot space and reare seating comfort.
I stogly feel its a stupidity to buy a car with a mileage of 11.5 KMPL in highway for petrol bieng Rs.74 P/Ltr. The experience at the showroom when went for servicing, they say cars if this capacity engine will have the same pick up with lesser mileage..where in My Zen which was 2006 Model giving me a mileage of around 19.3 on AC and is of 993 CC. The pick up of 800 is better than the spark with 800 CC. Now I dnt understand if these mechanics try to fool the customers or they themselves are.
Overall I rate the spark 3-4 on the scale of 10 where 10 is highest..
My experience is worst with this car. I wont recommend any one and suggest too.
