Tavera is good in space, but bad fuel economy, starts giving black smoke very quickly, bad engine design, spares not available in market easily, the one available in agencies are exhorbitantly expensive, considering the old technology. Unfortunately the so called engineers in the agency workshops are not even fit as a mechanic’s, or are not properly trained. The agency owners are cheats, they mostly show the customers some fictitious faults to increase the service charge for the work which never was there, maybe it’s american policy. Forget about friends, I have dissuaded three of my relations who wanted to buy Tavera for confirmed. I made them go for Scorpio and Innova, they are happy with overall performance. Innova is amazing though little less spacious in the boot.
The company should revamp its policy, should keep a close tab on thier dealers, also must revise its spare parts rates, if possible should throw spares in the general markets, to help keep the maintenance cost low.
