Now that is a film for both adults and kids. At first I wanted to see this movie because it was made by Nick Park. He’s also the creater and director of ’’Wallace and Gromit’’. If you have not seen it yet. I’ll recommend you to get a rental or DVD of it. When I saw Wallace and Gromit, I think I fall in love with Claymation (hope I spell it right, or close enough) all over again. It’s a long way from Gumby and other ones you might see on kids show. This is one of the best of it’s kind. Wallace and Gromit is very light-hearted comedy as well as filled with adventure. Very simple concept for kids to grasp, but so well made that every adult can enjoy. Chicken Run didn’t disappoint me when I saw it first in the theater.
From an artist point of view, the movie has great lighting, camera work, and sound. I love the facial movement on the chickens. The set they’ve created and also the characters are all flawless. I could not see it done any other ways.
I agree with the other reviews, it’s been a little harder for me to enjoy chicken pot pie after this movie.
