PLOT - "Chidiya Ghar" follows the Narayan family who live in varanasi. Each family member has an animal’s quality. The name of their house is Chidiya Ghar and the family members names are also similar to any animal. the senior of this house, Kesari Narayan, is a retired school teacher. he has three sons : Gomukh, Ghotak & kapi, a daughter, Maina (who is married to Tota) and 2 grand-children : Gillu and Gaj. Ghotak & Gomukh are married to Koyal & Mayuri respectively. he also has a sister Billo. Their servant is Gadda "Gadha" Prasad who is married to Nagin, a look-alike of Kasturi, Gadda"s old girlfriend.

REVIEW -
This program has to be one of the most irritating and annoying shows EVER! Every character is so badly sketched (and equally terribly performed by the actors) that it forces you to pull out all your hair. Mayuri (performed by super-annoying Dabina Bonnerjee) is the 2nd most irritating character of the show (1st coming soon). She dances on almost EVERY occasion and almost EVERYWHERE! But what makes this character even more irritating is the actress. "DEEEEDEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!?" She stretches every sentence sooooooo much! her dilogue delivery is horrendous. And that movement she makes with shaking her neck after completing her each n every sentence (coupled with some wierd background sound-effects) makes me feel an urge to cut her neck into half. Every other character is pakaoo aswell. Mr. "dot dot dot fullstop." gomukh, Mrs "Phisssssss" nagin, ghotak, kapi (terrible acting by saraansh verma), koyal (shilpa shinde is wooden. her expressions hardly change and she looks disinterested) BUT the most irritating has to be GADHA!
Jeetu (the actor) is actually a talented actor but he is wasted (or should I say "badly over-used") in this as I call it "bina sir paer ka" character. child actors ( who play gillu & gaj) are mostly standing in the background and are wasted aswell. but to be frank, that kid who is playing gaj is just as wooden as her aunt koyal (shilpa).
Story line is relatively simple but all the unrealistic melodrama coupled with terriblly sketched characters makes it unbearable. background score is capable of destroying your few left brain cells (because most of them must be destoyed after watching the actors only!).

POSITIVES -
actually, none. but if I HAD to choose one, then maybe its format that the whole family can watch together (only if they can tolerate the show itself!).
