Punjabi-Cheeni Bhai Bhai!!

When I first joined Mouthshut.com, I immediately thought wow..now I can write and read comment on the various restaurants in Delhi! Imagine my surprise when I started looking for my then favourite ’Chinese’ food restaurant ’’CHINA FORT’’ and couldn’t find it. ’’What’’, I thought, ’’how can they not have China Fort’s name in the list!’’ First 2 days I was busy writing reviews and then I went off. Just about a couple of days back, I restarted writing reviews and then I remembered, my China Fort. Sorry for my ignorance, but only just now I was able to figure out as to how can I request for reviews of products not listed! Anyway, this would have been the perfect forum for me to gush over my favourite restaurant had I not have had a not-so-great-experience yesterday (29th March) evening! Actually I cannot completely fault the restaurant as my expectations from that restaurant are pretty high (this being the only one in Delhi where I haven’t had a fight with the Managment!) and yesterday being HOLI, was quite crowded. From my previous reviews you must have guessed that I live in Western Part of Delhi, which doesn’t excatly have the best of all eating joints. That is reserved for South Delhiites only! So for a GOOD-food-loving person like me, I am always on a look out for new restaurants (especially chinese, a little biased there.) Anyway, coming to the point, China Fort is not new, infact it’s about 3 years old and going strong. I have learnt to eat and relish quite a few unheard of Chinese dishes here.

Run by Mrs. Vinnie of VK Resorts, China Fort now has a cousin next door, The Frontier Fort, offering great Indian and Mughlai food. Coming back to China Fort, the prices are just right, the food cooked to perfection, anyway u like it...spicy or bland. There is no liquor but I think they are getting the license soon. The waiters are very courteous and polite, the service efficent (Probably due to the fact that I have never fought with them till date!) and the best part is that I get a 10% discount on my bill everytime! For starters, everything is a must try....the CRISPY LAMB WITH SESAME SEEDS, FISH LAI STYLE, CRISPY VEGETABLE, DIMSUMS STEAMED, DRUMS OF HEAVEN etc etc. The soup is nothing to write home about though. The Main Course is equally mouth watering. I wouldn’t like to go in details as the Menu is pretty similar to all the usual Chinese eateries.

What makes the difference here is : a) SERVICE b) FRESH VEGGIES c) THE TASTE d) THE FACT THAT THEY HAD THE SAME CHEF TILL YESTERDAY! e) VAST OPTIONS f) EXCITING MOCKTAILS g) THE 10% DISCOUNT THAT I GET! I would request all delhiites to must-try this restaurant at least once and write your opinion about it. Thanks.
