Chittorgarh fort is one of the largest fort in India.
I went there with my friends about two years ago. We didn’t know anything about this place so we hire a local guide.It is really a very beautiful fort and one of its own kind. It is situated in chittor which is capital of Mevar.The guide told us that the height of the hill where this fort is situated it is about 590 feets and covers a huge area of 691 acres.We go there with a help of a jeep.
This fort is declared as world heritage site by hill fort of rajasthan.The fort is very beautiful and divided into many different sections. This is a best example of rajput military architecture. This place is the remembrance of the great heroism of rajput. Specially Rani padma who sacrifice herself in the fire when Alauddin khilji invade the fort in 1303 A.D.
Tower of victory: - This tower had nine Storey in which 157 steps leads to the terrace from where you can mesmerized by the beautiful view. This is a perfect place to take pictures.
Tower of fame: -This tower is 22 metres high which is build by a Jain merchant in 12 century. Rana khumbha palace : - This is a place where the Rani padma committed jauhar. And many more places where you can visit. All the places is so awesome that you just love this place.
