One day I was having coffee with my brother discussing about hell lot of elements. Satyam Scam, Slumdog millionaire, Stock etc., (All starts with ‘S’, what a coincidence!) were some of the hot topics that day. Suddenly there was a pause in our discussions & by the time we finished our last sip. Oops, first let me introduce myself and about my brother to the readers. I am Irsath, a techie in Bangalore. My brother is a Product Manager in one of the top company in the world. He is an MBA graduate belongs to ISB, Hyderabad alumni.
As an ISB student, he will discuss a lot about the advantages of doing business studies which enhance our career. He always wanted me to do MBA from top 10 institutes(this is his bad habit, Always Kidding. Me huh, making in the top 10 huh).
Actually after seeing his growth and his position(In wealth too), I was also interested in the business studies which I did not manage to do as I scored around 83 percentile in 2006 CAT. Then I fed up and left. But my main concern here is lot of people is willing to join coaching classes to be best in the entrance exams. My questions here was
· It is not worth to go to classes as it will kill our time(I also attended the classes in one of the best centre but I killed by time seeing the beautiful girls there).
· If they have enough competencies to make a student bright, why the hell they have not done their business studies?
· Ok let us assume each individual trainer is skilled in specific like Maths, DI, logical etc., atleast 1 out of lakhs of trainers should have done his studies. But never heard of it.
· Whatever the course materials, mock tests they are providing; it’s available for free on the web. Then why should we waste 15k approximately to them?
· Hmmm. I can hear the murmurs there. Perfect coaching about the logics and the steps involved right? Sirs/Madams lot of free eBooks there to provide it.
The only advantage I can make up is we can get a good girl/boy friend there which I also failed to make up L
