Im sure all of you possess a mobile phone.Its no big deal to be the owner of one nowadays.But the question I would like to ask you is whether you really need it? Have you ever thought about the negative aspects of a cellphone?
I feel firstly the question of need should be answered!
~~~So do you really need a cellphone?~~~~
Majority of owners of a mobile phone owners simply do not need them!
Of what use is a mobile to a school/college student or to a common man going to the office daily at 9 a.m & returning back home at 5 p.m? Agree that there many people in various profession who have
really benefited from a mobile, for example sales executives, taxi-drivers among others.But for the category I mentioned previously, apart from enabling communication when really required, having a
mobile is just an additional expense without any real benefit!!!
Many parents give mobiles to their children so that they can be contacted but in reality this seldom happens as the mobiles are often off.
Secondly I would like to discuss about the noise pollution.
~~~Have you ever realised it?~~~
Hasnt the ringing of a mobile phone in a public place for instance, college or bus stop ever disturbed you? Im sure you cannot deny this as it is heard everywhere!Whether its or mobile ringing or someone
else mobile, its after all causing noise pollution.And how will you describe the fact that you often have to shout loudly in a public place in order to answer the call and let everyboby around know about your
problems!!! Dont you thonk you or the others, when talking on a mobile phone are disturbing bystanders.How do you feel, if youre a student, when a mobile rings while youre in class listening
attentively to your lecturer? or when some of you colleague or even you try to hide your mobile from your lecturer to send an sms?? Doesnt it distract you?
Already a country like India does not lack noise pollution and mobiles have added more to a common mans misery!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The topic of the real benefits of using a mobile phone is highly
debatable.The cost of a mobile is not that exhorbitant but the cost of maintaining one is.
I know somebody who once went to KFC for his meal, forgot his mobile at the counter.He realised it after a few minutes, turned back and the mobile was gone! Im sure even you must either have gone through or know people who have lost their cellphones in such a way.Nowadays its something very common! Once I even found a Nokia mobile phone in an empty shopping basket at the check-out counter of a hypermarket! I handed it over to the security guard, dont know what happened next....
We often see schoolchildren carrying a mobile to their school nowadays.But the question is Have todays children become so matured that you can hand over things worth 4-5000 Rs to them as if it were a toy!!!
And what about the number of calls you answer on your mobile?Arent most of them simply unnecessary?Just check out this one:
Whenever I travel by bus, someones mobile rings or the latter calls someboby to say Im sitting in the bus, shall reach home in 10 minutes
Was this an important call? No....firstly you disturbed everyone sitting in the bus as you had to shout loudly because of the noise and secondly you wasted your own money! Before owning a mobile did you ever do the same thing???
Till today I havent still understood why people just spend so much of thie hardearned money doing faltoocalls from their mobiles.Thus I havent still purchased a mobile phone!!!Maybe Ill purcase one someday but I wont make unnecessary use of it!!
Final verdict:
Pros:Can make urgent calls when required, sms
Cons:Waste of money, What will you do wnen you lose your mobile.
Do comment before leaving.It will be nice to know about your opinions regarding the pros & cons of a mobile.And if now Aap ka baj raha hai mobiledo think before answering as you r paying for it!!!!!
