Dear Customer Service,

*This is  NEW COMPLAINT and you are receiving similar complaints because I have

been having SIMILAR problems EVERYDAY.  This excess deduction by you is

daylight robbery and theft and a scam that is being perpetrated on unsuspecting

customers.  This has been happening regularly over the past two weeks -ever

since I came across this robbery - and I intend to take this matter to TRAI in

the near future if you do not stop this nonsense immediately.

This is an entirely new complaint for an excess deduction which happened this

morning(28th September 2010) and therefore I demand an explanation for this

EXCESS deduction

AIRTEL PREPAID CUSTOMERS BEWARE:-  IN SPITE OF THIS COMPLAINT THIS SCAM OF AIRTEL OF EXCESS DEDUCTION IS CONTINUING WITH ALARMING REGULARITY.  Subsequent to this complaint I have lodged three other complaints - one this morning wherein they had deducted Re. 1.00 for a 18 seconds call - AIRTEL IS THE KING OF FRAUDS AND CHEATS!  BEWARE AND PLEASE CHECK THE BALANCES AFTER EACH AND EVERY CALL.  WE HAVE NOW NO CHOICE EXCEPT TO MONITOR AND MAYBE TO DISCONNECT.  Can anyone help me to lodge a complaint to TRAI regarding this cheating by Airtel? I have the necessary emails and their complaint numbers to corroborate my complaints.28th September 2010

Excess deduction from prepaid accountAll users of AIRTEL beware of the scam that AIRTEL is indulging in the prepaid segment. They are deducting more money per call than the scheme that you are in and if you don’t check you are the loser. I am herewith attaching a copy of an email which I sent to them and the response which I received which is self explanatory.

I was stunned to see them charge me Re. 1.00(rupee one) for a 16 seconds call, by chance, and then I realized this is how AIRTEL would be making their profits by cheating their customers. It is not the cost at Re. 1.00 but the principle involved in this dubious scam

BEWARE ALL CUSTOMERS OF AIRTEL! SCAM TO RIP OFF CUSTOMERS! CHECK ALL CHARGES MADE ON AIRTEL PREPAID!

Subject: 9980465011= Prepaid

Dear Sirs,

With reference to my mobile number 9980465011 I would like to bring to your

kind attention that I had made a call to Mobile Number 9481916471 at 11.27

today(on 15th September 2010) for a duration of only 00.16 minutes(i.e. 16

seconds) and have been charged Re. 1.00(Rupee one only) as charges when I am

on the 50p(A to A) and 60p(Airtel to others) scheme. How is this possible?

I have not been checking my earlier calls and how much deductions have been

made. Please check your records and let me know the correct charges which you

should have deducted for the recent period starting 06th September 2010 when I

had recharged under your transaction ID Nos: 392899917, 392905871 and

  1. I need a detailed list of all charges made during this period to

convince myself that similar "overcharges" have not been made.

Thank you for your positive and urgent action in this regard as soon as

possible.

With best wishes,

I. Jaffer Mohamed Sait
