I live in a retirement community with many senior citizens. While doing volunteer work I discovered many of our residents did not know how to balance their check book. I decided, since I have fiscal experience, I would try my hand at starting a small business. I go to client’s homes and balance their checking account, check over their charge card bills, fill out any medical forms that are necessary and just organize their finances in general. I charge an hourly fee and find my clients are most appreciative and depend on me to keep their records straight.
I am earning extra money and they can relax and feel secure that their finances are well handled. One of the most important requirements for this type of service is your ability to do the work and another equally important requirement is to be discrete since you will often be privy to personal information.
