Abysmal service standard at IFB Washing machine

I have an IFB senirota washing machine. It’s been used just about 4 years and has developed serious problems. The service person came in when contacted and declared that the bearing/bracket/drum/belt etc all need to be changed.


To my horror he gave an estimate of Rs. 7000. Also he was not well behaved and sounded like he just wanted to make me spend. I put up a complaint on there web site later, questioning the quality of the machine which requires repairs worth 7000 after 4 years of usage. They called me up and just asked whether I want the repairs done or not, again sounding very discourteous.


Very disappointing from a company which boasts of being among leaders and is a big company. No consideraton of quality, credibility et al. Gave me an idea what kind of people are handling the important function of handling customer complaints. I am sure by now that I would not go for IFB again and would not recommend it to anyone.
