My household must be the most’experienced’ user of washing machines. We started with Videocon TL semi-automatic. Wasn’t good for clean washes. Its innards were eaten by rats.
We replaced it with IFB fully automatic front loading WM. It was good. But used to make a lot of noise. In two three years it needed part repalcement. IFB service was horrible. So after trying their AMC and getting fed up, we replaced it by LG TL fully automatic machine.
That was five years back. Last year the rats again attacked the machine. Some parts were replaced by LG technician and he fitted a wire mesh to stop rats. It worked for a while and soon it started making big noises. LG said bearing is bad but need to replace drum as well! Anyway they didn’t have parts. Later its electronic card developed faults. They said over-voltage. But for last 15 days they haven’t given us estimates or availability information.
LG have no clue how to avoid electronic parts going bad. They give new phone nos. to contact every time. No one gets back.
FL \ TL debate is futile when machines don’t have simple protection against rats or over-voltage and when service is pathetic.
I read reviews here. All talk of bad service.
Which one to buy?
