This review is particularly meant for Senior Citizens in India as guidance.
I bought a 6 kg Top loading Samsung Washing machine. The following mistakes happened on the part of the Dealer in Chennai(T.Nagar) I went to the shop on 13 April which is Tamil New Year Day .On that day it is usual, shops used to annonce a discount.I chose the washing machine Model and asked for the price.( This is a dirty practice in Indian shops they give the price only when asked for) He gave the price as Rs.12000 **after discount.
*I asked what was the dicount? He would, t reply but evaded. This is another dirty habit in Chennai except, very big Silk Stores.
Point no.1; Insist on the rate of discount to be told to you
Point no.2: Insist on the printed brochure for your scrutiny
The next day the package containing the washing machine arrived. In about 2 hours I got a phone call from Dealer saying "a wrong model has been delivered, please don, t use "
Samsung Engineer came very promptly to instal and demo. This could not be done because it was a wrong model. Next day the mistake was corrected, but it took 2 more days and several calls to the dealer to get the samsung man.
Point no 3: Check the sticker on the package with your payment receipt before allowing the package
into the house.
Point no:4 dealer did not tell me anything about the trolley and dust cover. My servant maid told me.
Again some more calls to dealer and they charged Rs.1000 more.
I had failed to take care of these points. It took one week to start using the machine and considerable irritation.
