Basic Concepts of Fat Loss

I have been into bodybuilding and fitness for quite some and have bought about radical transformation in individuals. I do not have a degree in nutritional consultancy or medical arena but have gargantuan knowledge in this field. Today I am going to talk about few basic concepts of fat loss. Weight loss and fat loss are two different things but can go hand in hand. Weight loss can be further segregated into Water loss, Muscle Loss or Fat Loss. The concept is very simple but you need to understand the basic facts governing the same.Metabolism and is key word that I am going to explain now. BMR or the Basal Metabolic Rate differs from individual to individual. In layman terms it is the amount of energy spent at resting stage at neutral temperature. BMR differs from individual to individual and it keep on declining with age.The higher your BMR, the more calories you burn throughout the day.

Another key term here is the calories burned or consumed.Calories is burned when you do an activity or in fact even when you are at rest. On the other hand Calories is consumed when you eat anything or drink anything, except water or green tea. If your calories intake is more than what you spend, you are gaining weight. On the other hand if your calories expenditure is more than what you are consuming than you are loosing weight. In nutshell you need to be at a deficit of 7700 calories for you to lose 1 kg body weight. Simple mathematics.

I have also written a blog on the subject. Please feel free to go through it and post your queries.
