Im at a point right now that I have to shed some lard off the old bod - this is what I do and it has always been best for me;
I do not set out any particular foods that Im going to eat - I dont create menus for the week and drive myself nuts with it.
Merely cutting out all the obvious things is a good way to start - just cutting out pie and ice cream, chocolate bars, extremely fattening food like cheeseburgers and mashed potatoes - thats the ticket. If youve been in the habit of eating like this(which I had been doing all winter), the shock to your system will be enough to knock some of the flesh off your bones.
And bones . thats the main reason Im cutting back on the calories - all those people that tell you to consume less gluten and you will feel much better - those people are right!
The last couple of weeks Ive felt much better - fruit, lots of vegetables in the casseroles instead of lots of pasta, no pig-out deserts like real ice-cream, whipping cream, chocolate - just that will do the trick.
On Saturday, I rode my bicycle up to the library without getting off it once. Its only about 4 blocks, and the incline isnt that steep, but for me -twas a miracle.
I also suspect that the fruit and veggies, without the glutinous garbage I was eating has done wonders for my skin - I can stand looking at my face in the mirror lately.
Even if you arent fat, a change in diet, as Ive described above can make you feel better - my husband(if he ever lost weight, theyd mark him absent), feels hes benefiting by avoiding the junk food too - less problems, he says with his stomach.
Im also drinking real grapefruit(good for cutting the fats in food) and a couple of glasses of water a day with a dash of real lemon - thats supposed to help the body get rid of excess fluid.
Hope that by the end of summer, folks will be seeing much less of me.
