My birthday is coming up really fast(look on the profile page if you have to know)once again and my husband thought his wife needed something soothing for the occasion this year. He felt that in my old age, time was of the essence I guess and that since I don’t get out much he says, and since I love wind chimes he would get me something that allowed me to enjoy the great indoors more! (He best be glad he got something I liked, calling me old!)
His gift has been greatly appreciated and enjoyed very much. The family is also enjoying this gift of mine but not as much as me. They, the children still at home find it annoying. What do they know anyway? I tell them to go away and leave me alone with my new toy. That I will turn it off when I want to do so!(old People can talk like that you know.) They pout and leave the room only to come back and try again! Now I have made this gift sound horrible! But it is not. It is rather soothing and you will have to love at least like a little bit, wind chimes.
The Product
Envirascape® Soothing Chimes by HoMedics™. The sound of outdoor wind chimes brought indoors. Has a simulated natural wind powered by an AC adaptor(included) or four “AA” batteries. (Not Included.) The ever-changing tones help to create a very tranquil, soft, soothing, and harmonious setting. And I find them rather comforting.
You can adjustable the controls found on the front bottom of the unit to make the chimes
chime as frequently as you would like. When the unit is in use the center button will light up green. You can adjust up or down with the buttons found on either side of the center button. These buttons are referred to as the “control panel”.
Some assembly required but not hard at all. You simply hang the chimes from the hook and plug in the adapter or add batteries.
The unit is green in color with a frame that has the look of wood. The chimes hang from the center top of the frame from a provided hook(as stated above) and are silver in color. They look just like wind chimes that you would hang outside your home, just smaller. Very Eloquent!

How I Feel
Well, I love them! Envirascape® by HoMedics™ are just what the husband ordered for his wife. Since I love wind chimes and have a lot of them in and out of the home he certainly chose the perfect birthday gift for me, which mean he shall live a little longer. I can listen to them when I want simply by turning them on. When I get tired of them I can turn them off. Pretty simple, even for me!
My Envirascape® looks really nice on my kitchen counter and I can hear them easily. The sound is not loud at all. The “wind” blows from the bottom of the unit and I have mine set to come on the least amount of time, about every 30 seconds. The green matches my home as well.
Makes a great gift for anyone in the family. And if I want to, I can take them with me on vacation. Of course I don’t think I would do that, but should we ever get a Motor Home I would. I also like the being able to plug the unit in or use batteries. However, I will use the plug more so than batteries.
Also, I think that this would go well in a baby’s room because of the soothing sound.
