Choosing Best Acommodation

To choose a hotel is like to choose a temporary home, your own home. One should not go by the name of the group of hotel XYZ. It’s just deciding on how comfortable you will be and will the location matter if you are booking the hotel for your company’s delegates. Before choosing a best hotel you should see to it that the service provided by the hotel is up to their standards.

Maximum number of profits of a hotel are obtained by selling there rooms. Hence, a hotel will take utmost care to see to it that the room is sold on time. So, it is very important for a guest to notice if the room is providing all the facilities and comforts that he wants. In a metropolitan city one can choose the type of hotel ranging from transit, to business, to luxury, etc.

If you are traveling for some business purpose then you can ask for facilities like fax machines, telex, Xerox machines, internet facility, printing facility, wireless internet access in rooms, etc. And if your own company is listed in there frequently visited list, then you can also have the pleasure of enjoying a discount without having any doubts, where in most of the cases all major credit cards are accepted. One should get accustomed to some of these terms which may help you during your stay:

FIT tariff: Tariff for individual

EP-(European plan): Includes Room Charges only;

CP (Continental Plan): Includes room charges & Continental breakfast

AP (American plan):Includes Room Charges, Break Fast, lunch , Dinner;

MAP (Modified American Plan): Includes Room Charges, breakfast , Lunch or Dinner

Going for luxury such as honeymoon then you can visit the west side, Rajasthan or the backwaters of Kerala in South. Both these places are a treat. Hotels in such type of tourist destination do offer some packages which are bound to impress couples and even if they don’t then you can always try your hands in impressing your lovely other half, your wife by arranging for her some sight seeing (most of the hotels do provide) or an authentic regional cuisine dinner, or by simply presenting a room full of bouquets of flowers (you can contact the hotel florist). She will be impressed.

If you are just there for a few hours stay then avoid hotels which provide costly accommodation, in fact opt for those hotels which satisfy your basic needs. And if the staff and service provided by them is good then the next time you visit the same destination then you will have an added advantage of a secure stay considering your past experience.

Today, there are a number of different types of hotels which are here to attract the guest in one way or the other, only the guest has to decide and make a right decision about where he is going to stay, not forgetting the class and status of the guest which also plays an important role while choosing his/her choice of hotel.
