Animation:Golden future of India

Animation industry is making waves on Indian scenario. Although still at a nascent stage, animation is growing in form of commercials and movie graphics. The hum turn characters of movie Humtum and the oye bubbly ad are recent products of animation.

Animation Industry’s Potential

Much of the work done in India is outsourced because USA, Canada, etc look for countries like India to cut costs and increase profits. The world has accepted India as a low-cost-high quality country delivering work. No full-fledged film has been made in India. For Indian filmmakers, this is a goldmine to be tapped.

A report released by Anderson consulting states that the Indian animation industry, is currently pegged $550 million, is slated to clock a growth rate of 30 percent annually in the next three years and is expected to reach $15 billion by 2008. The study further reports that in next three years India would receive more than $2 billion worth of animation business. This is great news for youth in the field of computers because this is very creative field.
