Chopsticks is a pleasant place and looks like the decor was updated a few years ago. The place is decorated in modern colors, with peach-colored booths and green and salmon colored walls. The only decorations were some large mirrors on the walls, which gave the dining room a feeling of depth. They have two dining rooms, one that has tables and ours, which was lined with booths.
There was a choice of ten appetizers and we settled on Peking ravioli. These were very good, there were eight to an order, and they were steamed and fried, which gave them a crunch. Next, we each ordered a cup of soup. We ordered two hot and sour soups and an egg drop soup. The hot and sour was very good. The base of this soup contains vinegar, giving it its sourness, and chili peppers for the heat. The egg drop soup was evenly good.
They have several categories to choice for an entrée. There are many seafood dishes, beef dishes and chicken dishes on the menu. Most of the dishes are Szechuan, which makes than a lot hotter and more conventional than your regular Chinese dishes In addition there are numerous other choices. We opted to order the Hunan shrimp, Beef with mushrooms, and chicken with pea pods. They were served with steamed rice. But you can also order fried rice or noodle dishes.
All three meals were okay but not great. The servings were very large and we had leftovers from the three dishes, which I ended up taking home and throwing away.
The cost of the meal for the three of us before tip but including drinks was $42. It should be noted that the drinks are very reasonably priced at $3 each.
Overall:
Chopsticks has good food but I have also had better than what I ate. I think this place has lost some of its original shine. It is clearly not worth trying, I would recommend you skip this place.
