*In terms of comedy movies, Chupake Chupake stands apart. The other movie that come to mind was Heraferi but u remove Paresh Rawal and that movie will collapse like a pack of cards... Chupake chupake was just beyond ordinary in almost all the cinematic aspects.
Thematic structure was sound and narration was flawless....thankfully, there was no "gags" but CC moves from one scene to another like a silekn touch. The smile never leaves your lips...
The music was heart warmingly cute and blends perfectly with the movie plot....And my god, the acting was awesome....The late Omprakash was too terrific for words...his sense of timing was excellent....
Dharmendra was superb as well as if u notice, u hardly beleive that he was acting...
Sharmila was cute....and competent...
Amitabh had one of the toughest role but his transforamtion and gullibility of underplaying the character was brillinat....
Jayabhaduri was also effortless....
So was Asarani and even Keshto....
The movie has sensitivity and sensibility....the light-hearted feather touch direction by Rishida was like icing on the cake....
I mean there was no department that was inadequately represented....
If u compare CC with current crop of so-called "comedy" movie with forced vulgar gags and exxazerated facial and bodily movement, CC will appear million years ahead...
Personally speaking is one of the rare movies that I dont mind watching again and again...
