!!!Mirchi Mirchi!!!

I finally got to watch the movie that was constantly being advertised but never had a releasing date-typical!! Anyways the four things that drew me to watch this particular movie was firstly the ’’Mirchi’’ song, the debutant actor Zayed Khan, the point that it looked like a thriller and that it was filmed abroad and not Switzerland for once!! Though the point that Esha Deol was in it was kind of a set back to me, because I don’t really admire that girl that much as her mother. But even forgetting about her mother, I simply think that she cannot really act-lets hope her little sister won’t be so disappointing!!

Chura Liya Hai Tumne stars as mentioned Esha Deol and introduces Zayed Khan along with Gulshan Gover acting as the usual BAD MAN!!!

The story is about Esha who meets Zayed and Esha has the typical ’’I hate you so get out of my face’’ routine. It then turns out that she has a uncle that dies, but he is in debt of 100, 000, 000 rupees (wooooooo loadz of money) which everyone thinks that Esha would know the where-abouts of sweet sweet money. So Esha gets caught up with the Bad Guy and his other two gang members just because they all really badly want the money. Then Zayed also joins in this long journey of survival-but he has many forms of transport in order to get through this journey. By transport, I mean many names and many characters alongside them!!! And by all of these different characters Esha loses her trust in Vijay/Yogi/Prakash....ummm lets just sick to Zayed shall we?

Finally after a long ’’hoo-haaa’’ Esha realises the truth and finds the where-abouts of the dosh which she had with her all along-stupid woman!!

The movie is made more entertaining by the use of numerous songs! The title song is so-so, in fact I only listen to it to hear Alka Yagnik’s alaap in the middle which I love very much. I find ’’Boy are the best’’ kinda childish and not really needed! Then there’s ’’Do you love me baby?’’ which is constantly repeated throughout the movie and starts getting on your nerves-ok ok m-y nerves! But the song that really spices up the movie is the ’’Mohabbat Hai Mirchi’’ this is quite a peppy number and Iam sure that you must have heard it by now coz its always on the radio and tv non-stop and this is definitely what has given more of a popularity to the movie!

As far as the acting is concerned, I thought that Zayed was not bad for a new-comer; he also looked cute in places too! Whereas Esha was concerned she was not bad, but I did think that Zayed was better than her performance wise. Esha looked better for a change! I was impressed that the director had considered the actors’ images as well as the movie. As always Bad Man did his role well as he always does!

The direction as a whole was not too bad, but some of his techniques seemed familiar-but I could not quite put my finger on where exactly he took these techniques from.

Overall I think that the movie was not too bad as I thought it may have been; but it is nothing special as it does make you think but as usual in Bollywood flicks you will guess the ending half-way through the movie! Though I suppose the story isn’t too bad, it is similar to numerous other movies on this topic. The one thing that really bothered me was that this movie seemed like it was going to last for ages-and this annoys me about movies!!

So what can I say now...only but don’t expect anything new, but you want mind that you watched it
