I have seen lot of reviews here and I fully agree as I have also got same experience. I am also IBM employee and even though dissatisfied, we dont have any alternative other than to deal with these cons. Though, I am taking personal insurance now and will never use corporate insurance.
How they have cheated on the claim: I have submitted all required documents - including discharge summary, bills, reports and prescriptions. They are saying - I have not submitted "Address Proof". Funny to submit it for claim processing and that also corporate policy, still I said I am fine.
Now, they ask X-ray report. I have 5 X-rays out of which 2 reports available and 2 are mentioned in discharge summary - they are saying that as there is no SEPARATE X-ray report, whole claim is rejected! Also, it is part of pre-hospitalization - no relation with actual treatment - I curse myself as I could have left this Rs. 400 and not submitted bill itself!
The most funniest part is "IP Bill with breakup" which they mentioned as missing. Now, it is already there - they are just saying - I dont accept it as bill with breakup! How can I resolve that issue? If you ask me "Red Paper" and I give you "Red Paper" then if you say that its "NOT RED" - Prove that "ITS RED".! Another thing what they are asking is why medicines are not brought from in-house pharmacy - now, hospital didnt have in-house pharmacy - so they are asking statement from the hospital that "They dont have in-house pharmacy so medicines are purchased from outside".
I have never seen these funny statements from any company in my life. Anyway, they have crossed all limits and even after intervention of company HR, they continue to con us. So, the only solution now is to complain to IRDA. I can see so many frustrated people but dont know how many approached IRDA. I hope IRDA should keep note of these complains, analyze them regularly and based on that, ban TTK from the business.
