TTK is the most pathetic TPA I ever experienced

I have a health insurance policy from ICICI Lombrad, for which the TPA is TTK Healthcare Services Pvt Ltd. My policy number is 4034/HIR/04148176/00/000. I am holding a TTK policy for 3 years now. There was no trouble untill I didn’t make a claim and I was just paying my premium.


For the first time in 3 years I needed to use this policy, where my mother got her shoulder dis-located and she went through a surgery in Saroj Hospital in Delhi.

  1. Cashless settlement(Aug 29, 2009): I was expecting a cashless settlement, but it never happened. TTK Approved a partial amount and rest of the amount they promised to approve when the patient will be discharged. On the morning when my mother was being discharged, ttk kept deplaying the approval and she had to wait in the hospital till evening. Ultimately the approval didn’t happend that day and my mother was discharged. In such case cashless settlment was not possible and we had to may the entire amount(Rs 48, 000) to the hospital. Now we were supposed to do a reimbursement claim.

  2. Reimbursement claim(Sep 14, 2009): After collecting all the original documents from the hospital, I submitted them to TTK Bangalore office by personally visiting their office. I do not trust in sending courier to Mumbai office because these people do lose the documents sometimes(I have heard). After 40 day, on around Nov 15, 2009, they told me that there is a short fall of 3 documents. I submitted those 3 documents in Bangalore office and the Mumbai office received those documents on Nov 3, 2009(receipt no. BLC-IL-0000-03-46479-A).

  3. Still under process(Dec 7, 2009): Even when they had received the short fall documents on Nov 3, 2009(they confirmed me) my claim is still under provess. I call them every 3 days and they say it will take another 2-3 working days. Some department is processing the request.

I am so pissed off my the pathetic service and dis-honesty of TTK Healthcare Services, I am never going to buy/renew any policy with TTK as a TPA.


Stay away from TTK!


Update(Dec 21, 2009): My claim is still under process. Every time they tell me to call after 3 working days, because my claim is under process. Everytime I shout on them and they promise that it will be done this time. No luck so far!:(


Update(Jan 4, 2010): Still under process. The old sh*t.I need to wait for another 3-4 working days. I am feeling like being fooled. I have made a huge mistake in my life to buy a TTK policy.


Update(Feb 10, 2010): Same old sh*t.Still under process. I have tried contacting ICICI lombard as well to help me in this. Lets see. TTK people are really thieves.
