Have been a Citi Card aka ATT Universal Card user for years. Had my card reissued because I misplaced my card in my home. When the card was reissued Citi changed my statement to paperless. I sent them two emails asking where my statement was, and where to send a payment, as I did not receive a paper statement after the reissued card was sent, nor did I receive a notice of a statement via any email..
I sent them payments but they said I missed a payment by two days, and charged a $39 late fee. Then they also raised my monthly interest rate as well. I called. I wrote a letter. I sent several emails, explaining I was never notified of when a payment was due. They dont care! All they say is I missed a payment and they are due a late fee. Thankfully I only have a $100 dollar balance and can pay it off this month, and say goodbye to these theives. Noticed that someone else complained about not receiving a statement. Must be a common practice with Citi to not notify customers and then charge them a late fee, and then use that reason to raise their interest rate. Fortunately I can pay it off. Wish others could too.
