Ground rules to be followed for credit card.
Dont borrow cash from credit card, have personal loan, its cheap. Dont go for minimum payment of card even in case of cash crunch. Pay whole amount. Interest rate is very high. Take personal loan or mortgage loan and payoff all credit card dues.
Call center phone no is mainly for information, dont register complaints over there. In case u register complaints there, have complaint number, and name of the person who attended you. But written complaints is the most advisable.
whenever u have any problem regarding any bank product, write a letter and hand over the same personally to that bank. Dont forget to take acknowledgement.
Incase the branch is not available there in the city, send the letter by courier or Register AD.
In case u dont receive hardcopy of your statement u can write them to send hard copy. Citi bank is sending me after I had written them. Else u can always have it from website.
In case of any unpleasant experience in any service, kindly give ur feedback to top management. Pls take pain to write a mail / letter to customer service ID. Pls include name, time, topic and feedback ect.
If u have only 1 year free credit card, pls stop using that credit card at the end of 11 months. Cut the card in two pieces and return it with a letter. Keep photo copy of letter and cut card with you.
please dont keep more than 2 credit cards, advisable is 1 card only. More credit card more worries.
In case u have been delivered a free credit card by any bank, pls return the courier. dont accept the card.
Whenever u have been made any commitment at the time of applying for card, write everything on application form, write name and phone no of person who has attended you. Please put ur sign on that comments. Preferably get sign of the person who has attended you on banks behalf.
Please keep one copy of application form with you after this is fully filled up. this is the only biding document in case of credit card.
