A necessary Evil ... Thats how I feel about my Credit Cards
They do help you when you are trouble but again unknowingly you are winding into another bigger trouble. Using a Credit card is very good when you do a lot of online shopping. Do not want to carry a bulky Wallet. (But now even with cards the wallet becomes bulky as you tend to have atleast 2 credit cards, a debit card, pan card and a bunch of loyalty cards).
Citibank credit card was the first credit card I ever got that was way back in 2002. I was initially given a silver card and the credit card company said that was based on my documents submitted. But When I logged in online I saw an option that allowed to upgrade the credit card and I applied for it. Promptly within a week I was brandishing my new Citi gold card. this was the card which I held for very long and used mostly. With time passing the card limit was gradually increased. I had used my card for various reasons may it be shopping, in hospitals, travel or what ever . Citibank card has a international recognition and has been accepted where ever produced. Lately I was offered to upgrade my gold card to a platinum credit card. But look wise I still feel that my gold card was having a better apperance than my platinum card.
The best part is their customer support. The citibank customer support is ever available and ever helpful. Unlike other credit card help desk they are not escapist and try to help the customer out in all situations. They are also very polite and prompt in their actions. The online website is one more thing that needs to be mentioned.Their site provides a wide variety of options which I don’t think any other card site has. There are a wide variety of options available . Some of its features may be compared with ICICI bank also.Their rewards scheme are very good and prompt in delivering the items.
I find it a easy way to transact with my citibank card.
Be it filling petrol in my car . Buying books online. Paying my mobile bill etc.,
SBI card should learn a lot from CITIBANK .
The promptness in their transactions has always been a great thing.
