Im mostly in agreement with what acidelia has described. I was offered a free citibank credit card with one of a mobile SIM.I thought being an international fame bank, it should be customer friendly and professional, soon I was proved wrong.
First where all other credit card cos offer a reward point for every 50 or 100 Rs spent, citi offered me at 200. and even then it was wrongly calculated, it was something around Rs 250 per point. Then there was a series of uninvited premias and alert subscriptions- like:
Accident Premia, Citi Alert, Suvidha Premia which surprised me with every statement.
They offer you 100 points on online statement subscription. I subscribed it because I was getting paper statements very late and sometimes none.However I didnt see any points added in may statement for this subscription.
This is unprofessionalism in true sense.
No effect of mails too. Finally Ive stopped using the card, though I had to receive some excess deposit from them.
