There Credit Card Cash back offers has lots of if’s and but’s , so I request all citi bank card customers not to blindly follow or paticipate in there cash back offers. Be very cautious and check there all the rules and regulations before the swipe, cause there offers are practically designed to disqualify all .
On the offer pamplets and on the web site they will not mention the important points to be considered for availing the cash back offer . After the processing they will surprice you by not offering you the benefit.
It happened with me as I bought Air plane ticket worth 38, 000Rs and as per there offer I was supposed to get 5% cash back , but latter they gave 1 % only . They disqualified me because I did not used citi bank EDC machine for swipping my card.
I have immediately paid all my dues and cancelled my card . Cause I donot wanted to get fooled again .
Also noted that I suffered loss on my tracsaction as I paid 2% swipping charges to my travel agent for the airline ticket. So overall loss of 1 % to me.
I also endorse everybodies view that there phone banking staff is not curtious, some time rude, incompetent to understand the problem.
Shortly I am also closing my Home loan account and current account.
