Well here I am, back again.. Once upon a time, I got a nice job and since it was with a nice organisation, the organisation helped employees with opening bank accounts. For all the good intentions of the organisation and its effort to streamline the system, the organisation did 1 small error.
It opened the account of its employees with Citi. And citi being the strong marketing giant did something very smart, it offered credit cards alongwith opening of the salary accounts. Of course the credit card would be associated with the salary account ...Smart !!!! Well, I am short of time today and I have no energy left to make the customer fooling any more amusing. (BTW, Consumers ...jaago ....).
In short, this is how it went. 1. After a year of receiving the cc, When I got charged for renewal of card (which was surprising looking at the organisation I worked for...and that I had citi touts roaming around everyday offering lifetime free cards..), I called got to get the renewal charge rolled back.. Well, I requested, cajoled and finally laid down my cards on the table..if they charged, I would get a new card every year and cancel the prev one every year ... finally they gave in... (it would have made me so happy, if instead they would have called me and simply told me that they are going to NOT charge me..)
Another instance has now happened with me !!!
I have just received an email informing me that my application for a credit card has been rejected !!!!
HA HA HA !!!!
I havent applied !!!! HA HA HA HA HA !!!!
Anyways on a more serious note, I have asked them for a photocopy of the application since otherwise it may be a case of forgery !!!! (personally, I think this must be the doing of a DSA, but I just want to be sure !!!)

another incidence on Oct 15 06...
Called up the Customer Care Number for a cash credit card payment and was informed that the same can be done in any of teh ATMs.
Reached an ATM. Security told me otherwise. And the ATM machine there had no such facility. Used the direct line phone present in the ATM and was on hold for atleast 7-8 minutes with the message repeating "All customer care executives are busy...blah blah..blah..
Made a call using my cellphone and got through !!!! and all this time I am STILL ON HOLD on the other line !!!!!!
Asked the executive for an ATM where I could make a cash deposit and was informed the same thing again that ALL ATMs had the facility. Told her was in an ATM and there was no such facility here, she went dumb for a few secs and then started mumbling something. Asked for seniors and all the seniors were in a meeting !!! Asked who could I escalate to and she called the quality person online who again insisted that ALL ATMs had cash deposit facility !!!!
Finally got the location of an ATM with cash deposit facillity from her and made the payment !!!!
