One of the well known bank. Mostly we will deposit our money in bank for saving. But if we deposit our money in Citi Bank, no other way except from losing. I having very bad experience with CitiBank.
Unfortunately, I had my salary account in this bank. This is only one mistake ever I did in my life. I got the CitiBank credit card as I opened my salary account. even I havent applied for CredtiCard. CitiBank gives the facility that ReadyCredit option. This is one of the way of getting money from customer.
As I was afraid about the interest rate in ReadyCredit option, I havent touched so many days. But in of the days, I crossed my payment date to pay my credit card bills. I did not worry about this. I had a plan to give with fine in next month. But these people did not let me to do this. They played a very tricky game.
As I had my salary account, my credit card and my ready credit option interlinked together. Here only they are playing very intelligently. Assume that my minmum due for my credit card is 100Rs and I had balance just 80Rs in my salary account.
But what these people done na. They automatically transferred 80Rs from my salary account to my credit card and for remaining 20Rs, they opened my Ready credit account for this 20Rs and transferred that 20Rs to my credit card.
But what a irritated thing na, As it was the first time ready credit opened, they too 500Rs as opening charges. Only because of 20Rs I lost 500Rs. I called customer care immediately and arugued like anything. But I got the reply like everything is automated so they are helpless for these things. I asked them to close my Ready credit account. But they told it cant be, and this 500Rs is only one time charge, after this they wont collect charge for these kind of thing. As I was helpless I could do nothing.
But another shock came after 1 year. After one year they 750Rs from my ready credit account as the service charge. Really these kind of things could not be beared. These people are thinking we are earining money just to pay them.
So people please be alert with CitiBank.
