For the past One and a half months both me and Citibank are playing Cat and Mouse.A friend had refered me to apply the Credit card(bank is offering Rs.2000/-for each reference). So started the long game. Firstly the bank called me verified my details, sent the person to collect the documents. Then they said they don’t accept Bank statement for address proof.
But the executive says it is ok to give the bank statement as address proof. Likewise they collected documents 3 times from me stating different reasons. I took my CIBIL score online and it showed 800, which is considered very good rating. But still yesterday finally the bank sent me a mail telling that due to internal reasons they are rejecting my application after giving me all these troubles. So I decided never to apply Citi bank card.The copy of the mail is given below.
