Sorry for messing up with the Category but after searching for quite a while I was not able to find Citrus Hotel Mahableshwar so I decided finally to write in the Lonavala category but give it a good heading so everyone knows it is about Mahableshwar and not Lonavala.
Well to begin with I went there in the month of November unannounced which is considered to be a off season. They had two types of rooms, Deluxe & superdeluxe. Plus Suite. I went for the Superdeluxe because it was big and I was with my wife and two kids. The receptionist told me that the actual cost of the room is 11000 plus 1000 for the bed in peak season, but after little bargaining and since the rooms were vacant I got it for 8250 per night including and Extra Bed. This included the breakfast. I stayed there for two nights.
The best thing about this hotel is that the rooms were quite clean, decent & also Luxurious. The surrounding was full of greenery. The slides and swings for the kids were in perfect condition and the kids had a great time. The ambience is good & you could just sit anywhere outside to enjoy the ambience. they have very good arrangements for sitting & enjoying your Drinks with soft music playing in the background. The swimming pool was also good, but because on the winter season the water was quite cold and we could not use it. There was everything you could expect from a 4 star hotel. If at all the tea cofee sachets were finished, they use to replenish with whatever quantity you would require. same for the toiletries.
The service was excellent. The break fast was also good. We did not eat Lunch or dinner so I cannot comment on that. They had Reliance cable and the choice of channels was ok. Especially for Kids they had all Cartoon channels. Another things is its proximity to the main shopping area. It is exactly 5 minutes walking distance from the main shopping area of city, so we could leave our car in the hotel parking and walk back and forth to the shopping area in the evenings.
I had a really nice stay here and came back refreshed. I still feel the rate is a bit on the higher side , but if one is ready to spend some money he can have a very good time either with Kids & family or for the Honeymooners. Enjoy.
