There were times when the residents of Pune choose Rahul or Mangla for good movie viewing pleasure, then Inox was launched and it was a welcome surprise for all movie lovers. Not only because it was a multiplex but also because of the ambience it presents.
Currently the two competitors (for good multiplexes in Pune) are Esquare and Inox and I think Inox scores on all fronts:-
As I am into construction, I can say that INOX is certainly better done and really inspires all international standards. The parking is huge and well done (but still gets full on weekends) and they also have option of parking on the other side of road if the parking is full. Esqaure’s parking is cramped and the access to the mains is narrow which can be dangerous in some situations.
Being off the road is also a positive point with INOX which ensures a better ambience outside as well as inside the multiplex (and has a separate smoking zone too as a small park).Esquare is so close to road that if you come out not being careful (too indulged with a friend or phone for instance) you have chances of meeting a car/bike or two on the way.
Leg space in seating is more in Inox than Esquare which makes it really comfortable during long movies.
INOX’s location is perfect. If you do not get a ticket, you can go to MG road/shopper’s stop/pyramid/west end/burger king/pizza hut/barista/Pantaloons for utilising your time(;-) or can while away your time at the MacDonald at INOX.
No wonder if you notice you’d see more family crowd visiting INOX. For Esquare you’d see more students as it’s close to Symby and Pune University.
So personally I always prefer Inox..........I have always liked it.
