MUSIC is not only about a good voice or a good melody, its something that stays besides you in all your good and bad days. I know as all clichéd it sounds but that is what I feel. A song, which is moralizing, is much better than baby-I-love-you types. We can’t say about this artiste that “He came, he saw and conquered”, but “He came, he struggled and he conquered”. Sonu Nigam is one of the passé artistes as many people say, maybe because nobody has stepped up to his shoes yet and the industry is not ready to face this type of a loss in losing him.
His songs become a rage as they come. People ask that these artistes have already got so much then what is the need to release their private albums; bolly hits don’t always prove the artistes to their capabilities so they then come out with their private albums. Classically Mild is one of the most outstanding albums till date. Sonu has shown his classically fantastic side, which any film number can’t support. This product is a great example of fusion between the two sides. A truly outstanding album! Soona Soona, the first track of the album is truly stupendously sung by Sonu. I dare if anybody can sing it as good, let alone in takes but they just can’t.
The music is totally great and the vocals are just mind-blowing. At times the vocals take over the whole message or what they say story of the song but from the first time you hear it to your last, it will continue to do its magic. Sochta Hoon Main, it is a call from a common man of the ruthless society who ponders upon the social crisis. That is where the song got its name. Great vocals again and the music is great. It is not that type of a song that instantly gets your applause but it gradually grows on you as the number of visits to this song increases. Lamha Lamha, one of my favourite tracks from the classical portfolio of Sonu.
It is in fact a truly moralizing song. It goes well with downhearted or depressed days of ones life. Great lyrics and Sonu’s expression throughout the song just gives you goose bumps. It is a serene song in the sense of melody, one of the amazing creations yet. Chalki Chalki, this song is filled with what you call the grandeur of serene melody. The starting music on the piano is very heartfelt and the whole song goes like that. The lyrics again are very sincere and Sonu is outstanding in this song. Girls will love this track. Bheege Bheege, this song has a very dark instinct to it. Sonu’s vocals are just superb here, flawless singing.
This track again needs repetitive visits and this song too will grasp your attention as soon as you will allow it. Ae Dil Mat Ro, this song comes as being a sad one. It wont give that much of an impact as its respective formers. The feel of fusion comes weak in this song. The music after the chorus is very warming and the expression is superb. The bridges are definitely better than the verses. Again the singing is just implausible. The lyrics come good in the last part of the song and there you may feel connected to the whole expression of the song. But overall, it’s nice. Dhanya Dhanya, this track supports the vulnerability and the greatness, at the same time, of the most enigmatic specie we have, Woman. It signifies the whole persona of a woman.
It is a great song with great lyrics and great vocals. Suratiya, this song proves to be the weakest because Sonu gets weak to connect here. The lyrics, the music and the overall feel of the song come flat here. This type of a song doesnt generally absorb on its own that is why it gets harder to accept it.
