I booked a ticket through cleartrip.com on 20th Dec and cancelled it that day only. Got a message that the amount after due dedcutions the money will be credited back in my account within 30 days.I usually assume that 30 days is the max time one agency will take to reimburse the amount.Everything being electronic, the transaction should complete within a week. Checked today with my CC company and was told the money has not been credited yet. Now here the fun starts,11 AM - I give a call to their customer support. Was told that they will check with their "Accounts team" and call me back on my number within one hour2 PM - 3 hours later, I call them back. Told them my problem. The customer care lady, Vivian and my conversation goes like this,Me - So why the money has not been credited in my account yet?Vivian - Sir, please wait for some time, it will be.Me - When exactly? Hasnt the duration of 30 days expired?Vivian - we meant 30 WORKING DAYS( this is the best excuse I have heard in a long time!)Me - Eh? Please check and tell me the detailsVivian - I will have to check with my Back end team and will get back to youMe - When should I expect the call back?Vivian - Wont be possible today, but I will get back to you( as if they are working hard to resolve the palestinian conflict)Me - Fine. Do it asap.Bad customer care, clueless people and yes money stealers. I guess it just one another me too travel website which has been funded by few clueless VCs who are in for quick money.
