So called customer support team would try to convince you that it was great mistake you used cleartrip. Now pay for it. Even if you escalate the issue to managers they would clearly say it would have been good if you wouldn’t have booked from us. I have voice recording on same I wish I could upload same.
Cleartrip is only good till you don’t actually have to get to their call center. The staff seems to not willing to understand what problem is. and they have no idea how airline industry works.
If at all you have to postpone your travel or cancel it for some unforeseen reason you had it from cleartrip. When you cancel the booking either you get refund of the money or you can keep the amount with airline till 1 year for any further travel.
All I had was request to cancel the booking and keep it as "credit shell" which is regular practice in airline industry. I had booking with jet airways through cleartrip.First of all there is no way that you can cancel things online on cleartrip, second when you call them and cancel same they would tell you only because I did huge mistake of booking through cleartrip no I have to pay heavy fees which is their only way of earnings!!!!
can you believe they say they do not earn on bookings but on cancellations!!!
Now if you call airline and ask for credit shell they would tell "just because I did mistake of booking through cleartrip.com I will not be given any credit shell but the money will be transferred back to cleartrip"now I call cleartrip call center again to check wheather they can use my money for next booking and not cut the cancellation charges.
They deny by saying you should not have booked through cleartrip it was better if I would have booked directly thrugh jet airways.Then the guy explains lot of problems in cleartrip and curses his own bosses being britishers "Stuart" and Tamilian "Murthy" I end up getting nothing but regret that dealt with such a unprofessional bunch of baboons. I would strongly recommend using any other service than cleartrip.com
