I had booked 3 family rooms in Mangalore through cleartrip.com by paying 100% tariff by our net banking well in advance - one month before pongal festival. As per our plan we three family arrived at Manga lore on January 16th. When we went to the hotel Parkway where we booked rooms thro’ cleartrip, we were said by the hotel management that, there was no such communication from cleartrip and they have discontinued their relationship with cleartrip very long ago.
We then suffering a lot booked rooms by paying cash again. We we spoke to cleartrip official from their, they said, the owner of the hotel only knows about this booking and the person who was in the reception was illiterate. They said they will refund my money.
After a week when I contacted cleartrip after returning home I claimed for penalty. But they said they will send come compansation for all three families. But it did not happen. They simply transferred they money I paid to them to my bank account. Now I am filling an defamation suit against cleartrip. My advise to the puplic is please don’t believe cleartrip. If you plan for tour please book rooms through the Hotels own website. The tariff is also cheaper.
