I used the services of Cleartrip.com for the first time for hotel bookings for my year end trip to Sikkim and darjeeling.I faced many problem but for now I will confine it to two night stay at Hotel Saredena, Pelling, Sikkim
The hotel was not worth calling it hotel, but as the same was listed on the website of Clear Trip, I opted for it and made full payment of Rs.3300 for two nights to Clear Trip.
When I reached Pelling hotel staff reluctantly allowed me to stay in a 10x10 room with a column in middle of the room and the bed was placed in the corner(only one side available for getting down and up). second day there was no electricity for the whole night.
There was some payment issue between the Hotel and Clear Trip and I was made hostage and was forced to make the payment to the hotel again and was advised to so by the staff of Clear Trip. On assurance that the whole amount paid by me to Clear Trip will be refunded to me I made the payment in cash to the hotel.
Thus have to make payment twice, once to Clear Trip and again to the Hotel as I was forced to do so
This is the sorry state of the services being offered by Cleartrip.com
