My experience with cleartrip has been highly frustrating and has resulted in a loss.
I booked a return air fare from Cleartrip. while booking I keyed in the return date as 30th Jan. However, on booking the ticket came out for 30th April. I immediately called up their customer care to tell this discrepancy. They told me to mail its customer care mail id and did not give me any request/complaint ticket even after my asking for it. I mailed to their customer care explaining this problem, hoping it to be resolved .
When nothing happened for 2 days, I called up their customer care number , only to know that they have decided this issue to be due to a HUMAN ERROR meaning error on my part. So If now I need to cancel, Ill be paying for the cancellation fee. I explained to the customer care person many times but somehow it was like being stonewalled. They eneded by saying its your error every time.
When I insisted on talking to someone higher up to escalate, they said they do not have any such number/person. Again no compliant/request number.
Then they sent me some IT Log file to prove their part of the story. It was nothing but an XML file which they have created just to substantiate their story.
All in all, my lessons from this whole experience...
1) Never Ever Choose Cleartrip for your travel bookings
2) Never expect Cleartrip customer care to resolve your issues especially if it involves any cost to be incurred.
3) Try booking from the direct airlines site only
