If you want an expensive 3 star hotel get admitted here. This is the 2nd time when our experience with this hospital went bad. First time being a maternity specialty hospital they should have a person everyday to explain patients about the services and package. We went on a Sunday morning and were told there is nobody who can give this information today so drop your number we will call you. We did as told, but never got any response. We ignored it and went again after few days and the marketing lady explained us everything about their package.
According to their marketing staff who attended us when we went there for delivery package inquiry, this hospital operates 24/7 with doctors available at all times to attend to our emergency needs. We had an emergency and went their at 11pm(8th Aug, 2017) on a weekday. We straight went to the 2nd floor which is the only place opened that time as told by the security guard. At the reception when we asked for an emergency scan his response was that there is no doctor available now. We were shocked as to how come a maternity specialty hospital cannot have any doctors? Even none of the sisters cared to attend my wife and they were very casual and fine thinking they are doing their duty as expected. Receptionist asked us to go to Manipal hospital as they cannot help. Our doctor practices in both these hospitals and earlier we decided to come here for delivery, but now there is no doubt. They are charging as much as any other hospital in Bangalore but at least they should provide basic emergency and doctor facility if something goes wrong. Thankfully as soon as we entered Manipal Hospital Whitefield, sisters attended us called our doctor(over phone) inquired about us. Most importantly there was a doctor present in the labor room who helped us.
Although it has good ambiance, doesn’t look and feel like a hospital, nice courteous staff but if it cannot help a patient during emergency all of the above has no use as it failed in it’s most important service.
Guys please decide carefully before thinking about cloud nine Whitefield branch.
