2 years back we did a terrible mistake of signing up for a prepaid vacation service called Club Liberty similar to Club Mahindra, the deal was to get stay in 4, 5 hotels and resorts across India over the next 5 years for a total of 49 nights with a lumpsum amount paid at sign-up. It is a total FRAUD.
If you search for them on Google you will see very high rating for their service because they threaten to stop service if you post negative review about their service. Similarly on their Instagram account, they have disabled comments on their posts so that users don’t post negative comments.
-Their website is non-functional but before signing up they showed us fancy resorts on their site, but now they don’t have tie up with any of those.
-The new properties they have tie ups with are mere 3 star facilities and not listed on their site.
-Apart from the initial amount they also take annual AMC charges which is useless because their customer care is total crap and so is their website. Not sure what they do with that AMC money.
-Their standard response for your request at any location is currently there is no availability.
-They don’t take booking requests for a date less than 7 days from the request date or more than 30 days. For all other requests they say there is no availability.
-In the last 2 years, we have managed to stay just for 8 nights, that too with a lot of back and forth over email for bookings.
-Please do not fall for such schemes and services, it boil your blood with frustration for the time spent dealing with these frauds and the lost money.
The only sensible thing we did while signing up was to not opt for an International tour package which was their initial pitch, and was double the amount we paid for the current package which is for properties in India.
