The Club Mahindra property(Tusker Trails at Thekkady) is centrally located in town, offers good facilities for guests with well appointed rooms, has a happening Activity Center to engage the children and a great spread at the restaurant.
The weather is pleasant during summers and the cottages are in the middle of a lot of greenery. The check in process was smooth and the staff are courteous with a lot of service orientation. The rooms are well appointed and housekeeping service is quite efficient.
Staying at the resort, one can explore the attractions in Thekkady on one’s own at a leisurely pace - these include the boat ride organized by the KTDC that allows animal spotting, elephant rides(there are enough options for this in town), camping and walks through the forest organized by the Forest Department(the Office is right down the slope from the resort) and evening entertainment(folk dances and traditional martial arts performances). Shopping for Kerala spices also is easy as the market is nearby.
Overall, a good resort that offers good service. Would love to holiday there again.
