Club Mahindra Varca Beach Goa

I had been to Varca Beach resort of club mahindra last month with family. Purpose of visit was to spend quality time with family and it was a right decision to go for Club mahindra , Varca beach resort.

Resort is beautiful and very well maintained. Located at Varca beach around 45 kms south of Panjim.

We booked 1 BR Room which has mini kitchen inside with Microwave oven , required utensils , coffee maker , a small refrigerator and mini dining table.

As we had a 12 month baby along with us, kitchen facility was of great help and really helped us to feelat home during our stay of 6 days.

Location - Resort is around 45 kms south of panjim and air port is also around 35 kms from it. Very well connected by road. We drove down from Mumbai and finding address was easy. From panjim , one need to go to Margao ( 28 kms ) , and from there to Varca beach ( 12-14 kms ). Only problem with location is its too far away from famous tourist places in north goa like calingute beach ( 70 kms ) etc.

Check in - It was smooth and we were promptly attended.

Rooms - Already mentioned about 1 BR room type where we stayed. They also have option of Suite and 2 BR. Room was clean and nicely maintained. Housekeeping staff was very helpful and we even got a baby cot on request. Only drawback is TV set in rooms. There are very few channels one can view from 1BR rooms and most of the channels are blocked. This was surprising , TV is basic feature and irrespecive of room type all channels should be available for guests ( Even small small motels have this facility ).

Resort - Resort has huge space in side and lot of activities one can do without leaving place. It has 3 swimming pools, fun club , small grocery shop , 3 restaurants , a private beach with water sports facility and whole lot of other amenities to keep one occupied.

Beach is awesome and nicely maintained n one can have peacful time over there.

Food - One of major drawback of place as food inside is very expensive. Nearby resort one can find better goan style food with reasonable rates. They also some some packages but that too work out to be v expensive. One can find lot of foreigners opting for food from outside resort & only indians dare to eat inside. Either indians are too rich to care or just ignorant about options available :). This is one area where club mahindra can do a lot to increase its revenue only if food pricing is made attractive.

Beach - Varca beach is one of very peacful , clean , less crowdy beaches of goa. Water sport facility is also good and reasonably priced.

Transport - We had our own car so not much of trouble here. Only issue is resort do not have parking facility inside. Taxis are available just outside but very expensive n union dominated. But one get 2w from nearby place on hire at resonable rate.

Overall it was nice experience and place is definately recommeded to families wanting to spend some quality time together. If one wants to explore Goa and famous tourist places then better to stay in north goa !!
