CNBC-TV18 is the best business channel in India.Along with sister channel CNBC Awaaz, they are the most dependable broadcasters on business.
The best thing about this channel is that they present(in most cases though) news from the point of view of the common man.Also the analysis is done by topmost experts in their respective fields.In particular, their coverage of the stock market is good.In this connection I would like to mention Latha Venkatesh.She is a journalist but she has the parts to talk on par with any financial expert in India.I would also say that Reema Tendulkar is a capable anchor.The standard of the shows on CNBC is usually as good as their international counterparts.They have some pretty, smart anchors like Shireen Bhan, Menaka Doshi, Nayantara Rai, Sonia Shenoy etc.These people are good at their job and attractive to look at.Previous years have seen people like Mitali Mukherjee, Anuradha Sengupta etc who have done great.Since I belong to advertising industry I follow ’Storyboard’ regularly.
It gives the most accurate picture of Indian advertising on Indian TV.Now to the bad parts.Overdrive talks about very expensive cars & bikes all the time.Young Turks goes on and on about rich people who are trying to become even richer.However CNBC TV18 is a good channel that does its job honestly.
