It Does has the punch

I am an avid beer drinker and would like to always experiment with the new products in the market and around the globe. However there are a few which are my all time favorites. Even though because of the sheer taste and body I would rate Guinness Stout, Japanese Hitachino, Townhall fest Pale, etc, as the best. But in the medium range, The only Indian beer to really give the international feel is the Cobra Lager.

The first difference between KF is that the Cobra has more body and taste. Its flavour last longer. The KF on the other hand has been made, to avoid bitterness and not for taste. Probably to attract more younger generation to drink the product. However the problem is, they have more gas, and if you loose the fiz, or the beer is not chilled properly, it will be very bitter and unbearably flavoured. The Cobra on the other hand is developed for a market which has beer drinking as a part of their daily life and hence does not need too much fiz. Also, in west lot of people drink beer without chilling. Because of this the cobra is made with more body and less fiz.

The only problem is the availability. It’s available in select stores and even there its not available most of the time. It’s still very rarely seen in the bars & pubs in India. At times you see the imported ones from UK, and is expensive.

The other beer which can give competition to Cobra is the Castle from SAB-Miller. It has a smoother taste than both Cobra & KF. But the problem is the aroma. It lacks this compared to Cobra.

EoD, have a nice time. Hic, Hic.
